Old one: fairly-decent film of the time. New one: literally laugh-out-loud bad clusterfuck. North Koreans as the enemy, Thor playing an American, the dude from Drake and Josh as the high school quarterback-turned-angsty hero, storyline so lame it made a line seem two-dimensional, I could go on except the brain damage this movie gave me made me forget the rest of the film.

To other people it was the SW Prequel Series.

BUT I LOVE EPISODES I II AND III WITH THE LAST 45 MINUTES OF II BEING MY FAVORITE BECAUSE OF THE LAAT-I AKA REPUBLIC GUNSHIP.

I saw in the theaters when I was 4. It changed my life.

My dad and I used to have the odd Saturday where we were both home so we would go to the video store and pick out the worst looking movies on the shelf that seemed up our alley. On VHS. And I remember Betamax. Get off my lawn.

We watched some of the worst straight to video shit the 80s and early 90s had to offer.

You ned to watch it differently to extract enjoyment.

1) Start movie

2) Pour/mix beverage of choice

3) Drink every time the main character has a badly done southern twang

4) MST3K the shit out of it all

5) Die a ltitle on the inside because people will now think that all Evos drift and that drifting is just pulling the handbrake

6) Drink more to numb the pain of the knowledge in step 5

7) Pause movie, puke

8) Keep the train wreck going until you either succumb to alcohol poisoning or finish the movie.

This reminds me of a conversation I had recently. I believe that when people of your generation get old enough and start having jobs and writing about film, we'll start seeing some love for the prequels. I don't know any fans of the original trilogy who weren't children when they came out. Plenty of adults saw Star Wars and wanted to see the sequels, but it was the kids who were fanatics about it.

The prequels are not my favorites of the 6, but I enjoy them overall.

Ted was a major disappointment to me. It was not nearly as funny as I thought it would be. All of the good bits were in the trailer. It was just way too crude and dumb to be funny for me.

Snakes on a Plane is the only movie I've walked out of the theater for. It was from nearly puking when the snake was visibly crawling through the woman's neck. Grossed me right out. I have no desire whatsoever to see any bit of it again.
